Already Diagnosed ADHD
A GP referral is required for all diagnosed ADHD appointments
Diagnosed ADHD means an existing diagnosis of ADHD, irrespective of when the diagnosis
took place.
These diagnosis can be made by.:

Paediatrician
Psychiatrist
These clinical sessions will vary in length depending upon the requirement of the consultation.

For confirmed diagnosis by a clinical psychologist will need an electronic copy of the diagnostic report or a letter from the clinical psychologist confirming the ADHD diagnosis.
The purpose of this consultation will be to commence the client on ADHD stimulant medication.
Typically these sessions will last 60 minutes.
RMC will send out clinical questionnaires prior to the appointment.
The purpose of these is not about diagnosing the purpose of these questionnaires is for your
clinician to get a baseline understanding of the severity of your symptoms which will also help
when understanding the effectiveness of ADHD medication.
Review of ADHD medication sessions are for new clients to our clinic or existing clients .
This means a client is either on ADHD medication of may have ceased due to a number of different reasons.
As a client is already prescribed ADHD medication the prescription will have been issued by either Psychiatrist or Dr Lewis.
These referrals will be to discuss changes or optimisation of current ADHD medication.

Paediatrician Referral
Referrals from paediatricians will be focusing on the transfer of psychiatric care from adolescent psychiatry, a paediatrician, over to an adult psychiatrist.
This transfer encompass;
reviewing ADHD medication
current effectiveness
possible side effects
ECG, blood pressure
general physical health through pathology
mental health exploring anxiety and depression
