Referrals
RMC only accepts referrals directly from a GP. Clients need to make an appointment with their GP
and discuss their concerns. Your GP will electronically send your referral to RMC.
Confirmation of your GP Referral
Confirmation will be by text within 5 working days of receiving your GP referral
Booking of your Appointment
Clients are contacted first by phone and follow up by email or text if contact cannot be made at first attempt.
Waiting List
RMC is transparent and clear with our waiting list time which is updated frequently on the
homepage of this website.
RMC has never, and will never close our books.
RMC has a clearly structured and successful approach to bookings and clarity with waiting list times.
Payment
RMC does not request payment to secure an appointment.
Fees are required in full 10 days prior to your first appointment
We accept cashless payments including:
• EFTPOS (debit cards)
• Visa and MasterCard credit cards
Rebates
RMC process the Medicare rebate on behalf of our Clients and the rebate is credited to your account
within 24 hours after the appointment with Dr Res or Dr Lewis.
The rebate varies by appointment type, duration and purpose.
DVA
RMC does not accept DVA payments for Psychiatric services.
Billing follows the Medicare rebate approach.
RMC is not an approved DVA payment provider.
Workers Compensation Claims
RMC does not offer workers compensation psychiatric services.
This extends to both Comcare and Independent Insurance providers.
RMC can signpost clients to providers who offer services.
Private Health Insurance
Some private health insurance policies provide rebates for psychology and psychiatry services.
Coverage varies significantly between funds and policy levels. We recommend contacting
your insurer directly to confirm coverage before your appointment
