This service is for assessment, diagnosis and prescribing of ADHD stimulation medication 

for adults aged between 17 and 65.

Dr Lewis has prescribing authority to prescribe for clients in: 

• ACT , NSW, Victoria, QND & WA
  
  

• Clinical Assessment: Between 2 to 3 hours 
• Psychiatric Consultation: 30 mins
  Prescribing of Psychiatric medication is undertaken at the end of this Consultation 
• Telehealth phone follow up by Dr Lewis after 4 weeks
• Support from RMC clinical team with any concerns about medication and progress

This service is for any of the following : 

All new clients to RMC with an existing diagnosis of ADHD.
This means clients not previously seen by either Dr Res or Dr Lewis within RMC.

• Starting on ADHD medication for diagnosed ADHD by a Psychologist 
• Transfer of care from a Paediatrician to Adult care 
• Transfer of care from another Psychiatrist 
• Consultation to explore side effects of prescribed Psychiatric medication. 
• 3 Year Renewal for Authority to Prescribe stimulant meditation 

Cost to Client : $597.35

For Complex ADHD presentation a 90 minute consultation maybe clinically appropriate:

All Consultations includes: 

(a) taking an extensive patient history;

(b) formulating & explaining ECG, UDS, Blood Pressure & Blood tests investigations

(c) implementing a psychiatric medication management plan;

(d) providing appropriate preventive health care;

for one or more health‑related issues, with appropriate documentation

Stimulant medication for ADHD may not be commenced immediately if the Dr has concerns about results from the medical investigations completed.

This service is designed for existing clients who require a: 

• Consultation to explore side effects of prescribed Psychiatric medication 
• A 3 Year Renewal for Authority to Prescribe stimulant meditation 

Cost to Client : $474.90

(b) formulating & explaining ECG, UDS, Blood Pressure & Blood tests investigations

Waiting List 

RMC is transparent and clear with our waiting list time which is updated frequently on the 

homepage of this website. 

RMC has never, and will never close our books.
RMC has an administrative team who are experienced in contacting, booking and confirming appointments.

Referrals

RMC only accepts referrals directly from a GP. Clients need to make an appointment with their GP 

and discuss their concerns. Your GP will electronically send your referral to RMC.

Confirmation of your GP Referral 

Confirmation will be by text within 5 working days of receiving your GP referral 

Booking of your Appointment 

Clients are contacted first by phone and follow up by email or text if contact cannot be made at first attempt.

RMC does not request payment to secure an appointment.

Fees are required in full 10 days prior to your first appointment 

We accept cashless payments including:

 • EFTPOS (debit cards) • Visa and MasterCard credit cards

Rebates 

RMC process the Medicare rebate on behalf of our Clients and the rebate is credited to 

your account within 24 hours after the appointment with Dr Res or Dr Lewis. 

The rebate varies by appointment type, duration and purpose.  

Defence

RMC has an established referral, billing and releasing of scripts process

with Defence. Referrals must follow the Defence internal policy through BUPA.

DVA 

RMC does not accept DVA cards for payments towards Psychiatric services.
Billing follows the Medicare rebate approach.

Comcare 

RMC does not offer Comcare investigations or diagnostic psychiatric services.
RMC can signpost clients to providers who offer these services. 

Workers Compensation Claims

RMC does not offer workers compensation psychiatric services.
RMC can signpost clients to providers who offer services. 

Private Health Insurance

Some private health insurance policies provide rebates for psychology and psychiatry services.
Coverage varies significantly between funds and policy levels. We recommend contacting 

your insurer directly to confirm coverage before your appointment
